The new V6 boards for the AIS-ILIS1 ionic liquid electrospray thruster are in from OSHPark! Changes to this iteration include the addition of surge protection resistors between the relay outputs and emitter connection, as well as between the filter cap and emitter connection.
In addition, an external 100k resistor will be wired between the extractor plate and ground connection to add additional surge protection, as well as allow me to read beam intercept current on the extractor at 10uA/V, which is critical for looking at stability/beam divergence.
Once the final electronics components come in, I will be able to solder up the new boards and check functionality, then I will be one step closer to the third ignition test scheduled hopefully within the next week!
