As my efforts have continued to rapidly grow, the time has come to finally bring this endeavor to the next level. As of now, Applied Ion Systems is officially an LLC! I am entering the propulsion and high tech market! New company, new logo, same open-source maker-based approach! This is by far the biggest announcement yet for the Applied Ion Systems effort. It is both exciting and nerve-wracking, but I am eager to tackle the new challenges that lie ahead along this path. While I don’t have millions of dollars in investments, huge state-of-the-art facilities, or a whole team of highly skilled technical staff like competitors, I have an advantage of being able to bang out prototyping and testing far more rapidly and cheaper than probably anyone else in the field. Openly engaging the maker and small sat community is also key! Time to take on an industry as a radically unconventional underdog!
